Benjamin Drew Boiter
12/1/1961 – 3/1/2026

Ben was born in Tacoma, WA, at Madigan Army Medical Center to Blanche and Dewey Boiter. At the time Ben was born, the family lived in Lakewood where Ben began school before the family relocated to Montana in 1970. After he graduated from high school in Billings, Montana, Ben quickly moved back to Washington State and soon began working for Schuck's Auto Supply, where he started in retail sales, eventually working his way up to district management. In 1991, Ben met Christine Coler and in March 1993, they married and began their lives together, building their family to include Emily and Hannah.

Ben loved the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, especially time spent near the water, whether it was at a lake or at the ocean with sand between his toes, or taking in the mountain views. He often shared the saying, "more will be revealed," a phrase that reflected his outlook on life and the quiet faith he carried through both good times and difficult ones.

He had a kind and loving heart, along with a unique sense of humor that could make anyone laugh. His compassion and willingness to help others will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him. Ben was a great son, brother, husband, father, uncle, friend, and human being. His memory will live on in the lives he touched, and the love he shared so freely.

Ben is survived by his loving wife Christine (Chris); and daughters Emily and Hannah, who will forever cherish his love, guidance, and steady presence in their lives. Ben is also survived by his brother Mike (Susan), his mother-in-law, Shirley Spain, his brother-in-Law Jeff Coler (Barb), and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, as well as his sister, Sherry Maenhout, and brother, Douglas Boiter.

Ben's family would like to extend a special thanks to Gregg, Byron, Nancy, Dennis, Luke, Kevin, and friends too numerous to mention. Thank you to the numerous compassionate professionals at Tacoma General Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital for their help and support during Ben's very short, but courageous, battle with glioblastoma brain cancer.

A Celebration of Ben's life will be held in April at a date to be announced.
