Asuncion "Siony"
Buenpacifico Bailey
Apr 2, 1942 — Jul 31, 2026
Lakewood
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Asuncion "Siony" Buenpacifico Bailey. She left us and entered the presence of the Lord on Friday, July 31st, early in the morning.
Siony was born April 2, 1942 in Angeles City in the Philippines. She met Rolland "Bud" Glenn Bailey while he was stationed in Clark AFB, Philippines. They fell in love, got married on June 4, 1966 and shortly after moved to Washington state where she lived for most of her life. Bud and Siony were married 59 years and 118 days. They had 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grand daughter. She was a woman marked with love, beauty, kindness, laughter, and generosity. Her great loves were God and her family. She took great delight in serving her family and others. She also loved working as a Sunday school teacher and a Eucharist minister. She was a bright light to all who encountered her. We are filled with gratitude that we called her ours and that she led a full life and gave the best of herself so freely.
She is survived by her cherished husband Bud; her precious children Maria (Jeremy) Lautt, Henry (Niki) Bailey, and Susan Anderson; her beloved grandchildren, Issabella (Alex) Williams, Samara Anderson, Aki Bailey, Amani Anderson, Ren Bailey, and Audrey Lautt; and great-granddaughter Rumani Love Anderson; Rey (Medy) Bailey, Wil (Sandy) Bailey, and Jane (Steve) Deitschman, who held a special place in her heart as nephew/niece as well as son/daughter. She is also survived by her wonderful nieces and nephews and their children.
We would like to thank St. John Bosco for being her spiritual home for many years. Thank you, Jade Park Care Center, and their compassionate caregivers who treated our Mom & Dad like family while in their care. Thank you, West Pierce Fire & Rescue, for your assistance. We thank the Lord who sustains us and to all our family and friends who have generously contributed, prayed, sent cards, flowers, and meals. Thank you for being shoulders to lean on during this time.
You are invited to a celebration of Siony's life on Friday, August 28, 2026, 11am at Saint John Bosco Catholic Church, 10508 112th St SW Lakewood, WA 98498 with a reception immediately following. We would be honored if you wore her favorite colors of blue and pink.
