UNIVERSITY PLACE

Obituary

Archie was born on January 12, 1953, in Tacoma, WA. He was the youngest child and only son born to Jack and Mildred Kennedy. He received his early childhood education at Arlington Elementary and later, after a family move to University Place, attended Narrows View Elementary and Curtis High School. Archie made a career as a welder—work he enjoyed and really missed in his later years. Archie is survived by his daughter, Angie Crick (Jeff), of Iowa; son, Jack Kennedy, of Texas; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Judi Leavins (Charlie); four nephews; and one niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Sherry Steinlight and Diane Kiske.

Archie was friendly and outgoing. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, and time spent with friends and family. He had a great smile, even through the pain of his cancer. He entered into eternal rest on March 13, 2026. At his request, there will be no service, and his ashes will be released into the waters of the Puget Sound.
