Angela Lynn "Angie" West, 54, passed away peacefully at her home in Tacoma, Washington, on December 3, 2025. Born on November 9, 1971, Angie grew up in Tacoma and attended Foss High School.

Angie was a force of nature—strong, determined, and deeply committed to those she loved. She worked for many years as a construction superintendent, approaching every project with integrity, grit, and a relentless work ethic that earned the respect of everyone around her.

At home, Angie was the nucleus of her extended family. An avid gardener with an unmistakable eye for decorating, she created a warm and vibrant home where countless celebrations took place. Her holiday gatherings and lovingly prepared meals became cherished traditions for family and friends alike. She was endlessly generous and welcoming—no one ever left her home hungry.

Of all her roles, Angie was proudest of being a mother and grandmother. She adored her sons and found immense joy in her four granddaughters, who lit up her life in immeasurable ways.

Angie is survived by her partner of 24 years, John Berndt; sons Chris (Lindsey) Sommerville, Curtis (Cynthia) West and Daniel Englund; her grandchildren Madison, Camila, Delilah, Cali; her mother Gayla McGraw; her father Steve (Deirdre) Kim; her brothers Thomas McGraw and Steven McGraw. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and boundless love.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 pm on January 8, 2026, at New Tacoma Cemetery, Chambers Creek Chapel, 9221 Chambers Creek Road West, University Place, WA. 98467
